Dr. Merolli is an expert in the field of citizenship policy, with experience in community-based research projects, and peer-led interview methods. She has published on the affective dimensions of citizenship and policy development. Her teaching interests lie in the fields of Canadian politics, active citizenship, and global migration. Her teaching practice focuses on skills-building and empowering students to take political action on the things they care about. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from McMaster University. She is currently serving as the Chair of the Canadian Political Science Association Women’s Caucus.
