Dr. Christian Knudsen (he, him) is a Professor of Cultural History at Sheridan College, specializing in Medieval and Early Modern European History. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Medieval Studies from the University of Toronto and a B.F.A. in Film Production from York University. His research and publications explore medieval sexuality, monasticism, and Medieval Latin paleography.

A leader in digital education, Dr. Knudsen has been designing and teaching online and hybrid courses since 2010 at both the University of Toronto and Sheridan College. His online courses include The History of Chocolate, which was awarded a $75,000 development grant from the Council of Ontario Universities, Introduction to Medieval History, World History and the History of the Future.
In 2021, Dr. Knudsen was the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences nominee for the prestigious 3M Teaching Fellowship.

Dr. Knudsen has also appeared as an on-camera expert in television productions and will be featured in two upcoming TV series, Secrets of Ancient Structures and Oracles and Prophets. He also runs a successful YouTube channel called The Medieval Historian.
