Louise brings 30 years of experience in the retail and wholesale sectors, having designed for retailers such as ShopAGO, at the Art Gallery of Ontario; Lipton’s International; Simpsons; and Eatons. Louise’s involvement in the wholesale industry includes designing and merchandising showrooms, trade show booths, special event decorating for import/export companies, and styling for photography. Her freelance business has given her the opportunity to prop style for a diverse range of advertising agencies; her work has been featured in various magazines, promotional materials and websites.

Louise has balanced her career between teaching, running a freelance design business and working in retail environments. At Sheridan, she regulary develops and facilitates courses in the Visual Merchandising Arts program, with a focus on sustainable practices.

As a Professor at Sheridan College since 1996 and the Visual Merchandising Arts Program Coordinator since 2010, Louise enjoys teaching and sharing her industry knowledge with students. Louise is passionate about sustainable design practices and fostering an inclusive program where faculty, staff and students regularly collaborate.

Louise holds a Bachelor of Professional Arts: Communication Studies from Athabasca University and a diploma of Visual Merchandising Arts from Sheridan College where she was awarded the Governor General Silver Medal Award.
